Creativity and passion – Historical women with Asperger’s

Attention to detail, immense dedication to their work and interests and difficulties with social skills – these are some of the characteristics often attached to autistic women. Asperger syndrome was first diagnosed in 1944, so it’s impossible to say whether these historical women truly where autistic or not. Nonetheless, the claims are compelling. The ability to focus on their passion and hone their skills could have been the source of creativity for these female artists and scientists.
